The Caddo Sheriff’s Office is selling fish dinners to raise money for the construction of Sheriff’s Safety Town.
The fundraiser will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., August 19, in the Wal-Mart parking lot located at Youree Drive and Bert Kouns. Plates are $7 and include fish, fries, and hushpuppies. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Sheriff’s Office at 422-0591 or 681-0666.

Sheriff’s Safety Town is a proposed child-sized educational facility where children will learn critical safety skills in a hands-on environment. Upon completion, Safety Town will include an education building and other permanent features including small streets, buildings, traffic lights, and a working railroad crossing where children will practice bicycle, pedestrian, and other traffic safety skills. The facility will be located on Louisiana Highway 3132 near Jewella Avenue.
